Quality Control
At China Loong Auto Brake Co., Ltd., quality control is integrated into material receiving, production, final inspection, packaging, and shipment preparation. Our procedures are designed to support consistent quality across automotive braking products and related components, including brake pads, shoes, discs, drums, calipers, cylinders, hoses, cables, sensors, tube assemblies, vacuum booster assemblies, repair kits, and braking products for passenger vehicles, trucks, buses, and industrial applications.
Inspection requirements are defined according to product specifications, customer drawings, approved samples, and applicable industry-aligned practices. Because different braking components have different safety, fitment, and performance requirements, inspection plans are adapted to the product type and order requirements.
1. Incoming Material and Component Inspection
Raw materials, purchased parts, and outsourced components are checked before they are released for production. Our incoming inspection focuses on verifying that materials and components conform to specified technical and purchasing requirements.
- Material verification: Material type, grade, dimensions, surface condition, and supporting documentation are reviewed where applicable.
- Component inspection: Fittings, connectors, seals, springs, cables, sensor elements, friction materials, castings, and machined parts are checked according to relevant specifications.
- Visual examination: Inspectors look for corrosion, contamination, cracks, deformation, coating defects, and other visible issues that could affect manufacturing or product performance.
- Traceability control: Material and component identification is maintained as required by the product and order documentation.
- Nonconforming material control: Suspect materials are identified, segregated, and reviewed before a disposition is made.
2. In-Process Quality Control
Quality checks are carried out at appropriate production stages to identify variation before products reach final inspection. Operators and quality personnel follow documented process requirements, technical drawings, approved samples, and internal inspection standards.
- Dimensional control: Critical dimensions, mounting points, thread specifications, thicknesses, diameters, and assembly positions are checked with suitable measuring equipment.
- Process monitoring: Machining, forming, bonding, riveting, welding, coating, surface treatment, and assembly operations are monitored where relevant to the product.
- Fit and assembly checks: Interfaces between components are reviewed to help ensure correct assembly, installation compatibility, and secure connections.
- Product-specific controls: Inspection may address friction material condition, disc or drum surfaces, caliper movement, cylinder sealing areas, hose and tube connections, cable operation, and sensor or connector integrity.
- Inspection records: Results are recorded as required to support production control, traceability, and follow-up actions.
3. Finished Product Inspection and Verification
Finished products are inspected against the applicable specifications before being approved for packing. The inspection scope depends on the product design, intended application, customer requirements, and agreed technical criteria.
- Appearance inspection: Products are checked for cleanliness, finish, corrosion protection, markings, visible damage, and general workmanship.
- Dimensional verification: Key dimensions and installation features are confirmed according to drawings, specifications, or approved reference samples.
- Functional checks: Movement, connection, sealing, electrical continuity, signal response, or assembly function may be verified where applicable.
- Product identification: Part numbers, labels, batch information, and other required markings are checked for accuracy and legibility.
- Specification-based testing: Relevant tests may be conducted or arranged subject to the product type and agreed requirements, using internal methods or industry-aligned practices.
Inspection equipment is selected according to the measurement or test required. Measuring devices are managed and verified in accordance with internal procedures to support reliable inspection results.
4. Packaging and Pre-Shipment Checks
Packaging is reviewed not only for presentation but also for product protection during handling, storage, and international transportation. Before shipment, the order is checked against the approved commercial and technical requirements.
- Packaging suitability: Protective materials, inner packaging, cartons, and export packing are selected according to the product’s size, weight, surface, and sensitivity.
- Quantity verification: Packed quantities are checked against the order and packing documentation.
- Label review: Product labels, carton marks, barcodes, and customer-specific information are verified when required.
- Product protection: Measures are taken to reduce the risk of moisture, contamination, impact, abrasion, deformation, or part-to-part damage in transit.
- Shipment review: Product references, packaging details, and required documents are reviewed before goods are released for dispatch.
5. Feedback, Corrective Action, and Continuous Improvement
China Loong Auto Brake Co., Ltd. treats quality feedback as an important part of product and process management. When a concern is reported, relevant order information, samples, photographs, inspection records, and production details are reviewed to help identify the cause.
Depending on the findings, corrective actions may include additional inspection, process adjustment, work-instruction updates, supplier follow-up, packaging improvement, or personnel training. The effectiveness of appropriate actions is reviewed, and lessons learned are used to strengthen future production and inspection activities.
We also encourage customers to provide clear technical requirements, vehicle or application references, drawings, samples, packaging instructions, and inspection expectations during order confirmation. Early communication helps establish suitable acceptance criteria and supports consistent delivery for both standard products and customer-specific braking components.
